Like
similar philosophy courses elsewhere, Philosophy 100 at Grays Harbor College
asks fundamental questions, questions so basic to human life that
none of them ever really goes wholly unasked: "What in fact is a
thing?" "Who truly knows anything?" "What finally is
good or evil?" Such questions - called Metaphysical, Epistemological,
and Axiological questions - have no simple answers, but their difficulty
is no bar to their popularity. Each of us asks and answers them, consciously
or unconsciously.
Philosophy 100 assumes that such questions are best asked consciously - when you're awake, not asleep. So if you think you're awake, check out Introduction to Philosophy.
