Basic Food Employment & Training

BFET at Grays Harbor College

Do you receive or qualify for Basic Food benefits? If you answered “yes” to this question, now is the time to qualify for FREE ASSISTANCE. Grays Harbor College can support you through approved Professional Technical Career programs, GED, ESL and high demand fields.

The Basic Food, Employment and Training program (BFET) provides access and services to food stamp recipients in Washington State. Services include job search and job search training, education and skills training, and support services to Basic Food recipients not participating in the state’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

· Apply at your local DSHS office by filling out the DSHS Application for Benefits

How to Apply for Basic Food Assistance:

Enrolling in the GHC BFET program also allows you to maintain your Food Assistance while you attend school, even when you are not able to maintain PT employment requirements.
