More information on Human Biology (Biol 118)

Human Biology

  • is a science distribution credit (rather than an elective) for the Associate of Arts Degree at Grays Harbor College.
  • includes some anatomy and physiology as well as related ecological, health and nutrition issues.
  • is an alternative to Biology 160, particularly for those students for whom this may be their only shot at a college biology course.
  • is a neat course, an informative course, and a chance to learn how your body works.
  • doesn't require students to do dissections.

Many students take this course to prepare for the two quarter sequence Introduction to Anatomy/Physiology I and II.  However, Human Biology is not a pre-requisite for A/P I and II.  The pre-requisite for Introduction to Anatomy/Physiology I is a grade of “C” or better in Biology 160 or Biology 222.
