Where is the GHC Learning Center?
We are located on the main GHC campus in Aberdeen, on the first floor of the library building (1500) in room 1519.
You may drop in the Learning Center in 1519 to work with a tutor. Here is the schedule of tutors available. You can also use eTutoring to get help online. If you are interested in individual tutoring, first schedule a study skills assessment with the Learning Center Coordinator, 360-538-4060.
Here is a link to a document outlining many math resources. Not all of them will be appropriate for your situation, but there are many options to choose from. Not sure what you need? Stop by the Learning Center, 1519, where we have a math tutor on duty whenever we’re open.
There are links to many helpful websites to brush in preparation for taking or re-taking the College Placement Test (CPT) on our Learning Links page. You can also use the reading and language portions of Skills Bank, which is a computer program available in the GHC Learning Center.
Here is a link to tutors by subject. If we don’t have a tutor listed for your subject, help may be available through eTutoring. Be sure to speak to your instructor too. Your instructor may have some ideas to help improve your skills. Many students have found it helpful to form a study group with others taking the same class. Here is a link about how study groups work. You can also stop by the Learning Center or schedule an appointment with the Learning Center Coordinator for additional ideas.

ModuMath is a series of interactive digital video math lessons covering basic math through intermediate algebra. You can access the videos and study guide online at www.modumath.org/mm/GraysHarbor.html
For the GHC user name and password for ModuMath, email your request to: email@example.com. Please include your SID in your email.
Using tools such as chat, email, or attachments, students are no longer limited to working with the tutors at GHC. With eTutoring, you may work with a tutor in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho, or right here at GHC. The tutor may be at a two or four-year school. By sharing the resource of our tutors, students at all participating schools have access to assistance with a greater number of subjects more hours.
For more information about eTutoring or to log in to use the program, click here.
Check out our resources of off-campus students page. If you are attending class in Raymond or Ilwaco, talk to Carol Staricka (Raymond) or Maggie Gray (Ilwaco) for access to campus resources at those sites. You may also contact the Learning Center Coordinator at 360-538-4060 for ideas for your particular situation.
Stop in the Learning Center to see our Writing Consultan. You may also get help from a Peer Writing Reviewer. Check the tutoring subject schedule to see when a Peer Reviewer is available. You may also go to eTutoring to access the online writing lab. There are also many online resources to help with English class too. Check out our Learning Links.
All Learning Center services are free for GHC students.
