The library's home page is the best place to start your information search.
Magazines/Journals/Newspapers: On the web site, you can do a "quick search" from the text box on the front page or click the upper-left Search for Information tab. Some of the databases have a specialized focus and might not be good for all topics. If you are not sure which database to choose, take a look at the descriptions on the Search for Information page.
To access these resources, you will need to enter your student ID number and last name. These are not free Internet resources, these are subscriptions paid for by the library.
Many of the articles you find will be available full-text (the entire article online) but some will not. If you see one that is not fully online, look for a link to "Check for Full-Text in Other GHC Databases." This will see if we have the print or electronic copy in another source than where you are looking. If it is still not found, we can order it for you through our Inter-Library Loan process.
Books and Videos/DVDs: From the library's homepage, select the Library Catalog in the quick links list. Our catalog will allow you to search for books, videos, and DVDs that we own. You can also find out if we subscribe to a particular journal title. You can search by subject, author, title or keyword. The Catalog tutorial can help.
If you can't find what you need for your research, we can always order materials through Inter-Library Loan.
You can place a hold on items in our library. Once you have found the book in our library catalog, you can select the "request item" button, and enter your student ID number and last name. WE will hold the item at the location indicated. ( Aberdeen, Raymond, Elma, or Ilwaco.) If you cannot get to an outreach center, enter the information into the comments box and we will arrange to ship the item directly to you.
