Certificates of Achievement

Certificates of Achievement require completion of between 25 and 33 credits and are generally completed in one academic year.  Certificates of Achievement are intended to provide directed training in a variety disciplines within the field of natural resources.  Requirements for the Certificates of Achievement for Aquaculture, Natural Resources Management, Watershed Assessment and Geographic Information Systems are described below.

Certificates of Completion

A Certificate of Completion may be obtained for Aquaculture, Natural Resources Management, Watershed Assessment and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by completing a series of general education and cooperative work experience courses in addition to the requirements of the Certificates of Achievement (listed above).  Certificates of Completion are intended to provide students with basic math, English and communication skills to complement the technical skills taught in the Certificate of Achievement curriculum. The Certificate of Completion in Aquaculture meets the minimum requirements for the Hatchery Technician I position in the Washington State Hatchery System.

Grays Harbor College offers one-year technical certificate programs in watershed assessment, natural resource management, geographic information systems (GIS) and aquaculture.  Requirements for the Certificates of Achievement and Completion are listed below.
