Tuition, Fees, and Refund Policies

Failure to make payment on any outstanding balance may result in your account being referred to an outside collection agency. You will be responsible for all collection and legal fees per Washington State Law.

* Individuals who are not permanent residents or U.S. citizens MAY qualify for resident tuition, if they have or will have graduated from a Washington state high school or, while living in Washington, have received the equivalent of a high school diploma. **US Citizen and INS Permanent Residents
A Veteran or National Guard Member may qualify for reduced tuition. Also, a Child and/or Spouse of a Totally Disabled, POW/MIA or Deceased Veteran or National Guard member may qualify for this benefit. You should contact GHC’s Admission & Records Office at 360-538-4028.

Senior citizens may audit a maximum of two classes per quarter on a space-available basis. The special fee for Washington state residents sixty years of age or older is $25.00. GHC will refund tuition if official withdrawal occurs:

Students requesting refunds for a total withdrawal must obtain a withdrawal form from the Counseling Office. The date the student submits the completed form to the Records Office is the official date of withdrawal and is the date used in determining the rate at which refunds will be made.

Students who drop individual classes may be eligible for refunds based on the schedule below. Students should use the add/drop form to withdraw from a single course.

Students who leave the college without completing the official withdrawal procedure forfeit all claims for refunds and for credit in courses.

Community Service Classes Refund Policy
Refund of fees paid for CS - Community Service, student self-funded educational activities are not allowed past the deadline published in college materials determining course breakeven for that activity or 24 hours prior to the start of that activity, whichever comes first.
