Activities and Student Activities Mission: There's more to college life than attending classes, studying, and taking exams. Your out-of-classroom experience can be the icing on the cake to a solid education. Student Activities and Leadership Programs embraces the desired student abilities defined by the college as critical areas of competency for its students. We incorporate critical thinking with social and personal responsibility directly into our efforts and encourage disciplinary learning, literacy, and information use with emphasis on:
Teamwork, organization, goal setting, conflict resolution, effective communication and time management are just a few of the skills a student can develop when he/she participates in student activities. So...what are you waiting for? Students have a variety of options for getting involved in co-curricular activities on campus. GHC offers student opportunities to explore drama, clubs, student government, athletics, music groups, a student publication, an activities board, transfer trips, college grants for community service work, student leadership conferences and a leadership class.
