Workforce Education is often referred to as occupational training, career and technical education, vocational training, professional/technical education, or professional preparation and training. 

 

Grays Harbor College offers credit workforce education and training for residents of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties. With open admissions and low tuition policies, GHC provides an excellent opportunity for community members to prepare for new careers, upgrade work skills, and/or further individual interests.

 

Such training can range from short-term introductory courses in a workforce education discipline to a technical degree program.

The Association in Applied Science (AAS), Associate in Technology (AT), Certificate of Completion (CC), and Certificate of Achievement (CA) are designed for students whose primary goal is to enter the job market after completion. Prerequisite requirements must be fulfilled prior to enrollment in most required program courses.  Grays Harbor College’s AAS and AT degrees are not designed for transfer to other colleges or universities.
