Rally at the State Capital
Description:

Grays Harbor College students will join hundreds of fellow students from around the state at the 2012 Community College Student Legislative Rally in Olympia on Wednesday, February 1. Students will gather at the Capitol to express their opinions to local legislators and the governor on topics including tuition, textbooks, and cuts to higher education funding. The program from 12 – 1 pm in the Rotunda will feature guest speakers and elected officials.

Last year, 18 community colleges were represented, and 24 Grays Harbor students were among the nearly 500 who attended.

Description:

Wendy Hinand from Brandman University is hosting a “Lunch N Learn” on February 2nd at 12:00 in 1512.  At the “Lunch N Learn,” advisors, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to learn about the transfer options that GHC students have for Brandman’s Lacey and on line campuses as well as ways GHC can collaborate with Brandman for a smooth transfer process for students.
