Fall Art Show - Opening Reception

| Description: |
This year the Spellman Gallery exhibits the recent works (never before displayed) of 23 local artists. And to make a special evening of it, the Gala reception starts at 6:00pm: that gives you time to view the works, talk to the artists, taste the refreshments, all before adjourning to the Bishop Center for the evening’s performance of "Expecting" beginning at 7:30. Or, since the reception continues until 8:30 you can still have an evening of it even if your tickets are for another day.

Expecting
A woman balancing on the sharp edge of middle age explores her past, her present, and her possible futures in an attempt to come to terms with the actuality of bearing another child not only at this age, but in these times. Along the way, she comes face to face with the distinctions – both comic and tragic, both shocking and mundane – between what we expect and what we get.
Playwright Lynne Lerych is an English instructor at GHC.
$9 Adults, $5 Students
