We Don't Know What We Don't Know: Discussion about Unrecognized Privilege
Description: We Don't Know What We Don't Know: Unrecognized Privilege

Two Discussion Sessions:
12:00 - 1:00PM &
1:00 - 2:00PM
in the Choker Dining Room

Please join us for this discussion hosted by the Diversity Center.

Often, we donít think of the challenges others face if those challenges do not apply to us.  If we are right handed, we donít think about the fact that a spiral notebook would be very frustrating for a left-handed person.  If we use our feet instead of a wheel chair, we donít think about how narrow the aisles in Walmart can be. If we are used to seeing members of our own race widely represented positively on television, we donít notice it is not the case for all races.
