The drag show begins at 7 p.m; doors open at 6:30.</P> <P>Last year, a rowdy, energetic crowd of more than 300 enjoyed the second “Night at the Drag Show” at Grays Harbor College. The show raised $2,000 for scholarships awarded through the Grays Harbor College Foundation.</P> <P>“When we did the drag show a few years ago we didn’t know what we would get from the community. The amount of people at the past two events was overwhelming,” said Jen Gillies-Alvarez, one of the advisors for the campus club. “The students in the club were so overcome with emotions a few cried when they saw all the faces in the crowd. I hope even more people will come this year, and keep the scholarship going.”</P> <P>Gillies-Alvarez anticipates more than 20 acts will be performing, featuring lip-synching to dramatic and popular songs by performers dressed in opposite gendered clothing. VIP seating is $15, and general admission is only $5. Tickets are available by calling 360-538-4155, online at Brown Paper Tickets, or through the GHC GSA Facebook page. Tickets will also be available at the door.</P> <P>The Gay Straight Alliance at Grays Harbor College is dedicated to improving awareness of gay, lesbian, transgendered, and bisexual people to create a safe environment for all Grays Harbor College students. The group provides peer emotional and moral support, as well as promoting and providing safe spaces.
