GH Opera Workshop

The Grays Harbor Opera Workshop revisits Gian Carlo Menotti’s beloved American Christmas opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors. This one-act children’s opera tells story of a shepherd boy and his mother whose lives are changed forever when the Three Kings pass through their village on the way to Bethlehem. This opera features a chorus of GHC students and singers from the community, and dancers from Turning Pointe Classical School of Dance.

The program is rounded out by a performance of selections from the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah, featuring soloist form the GH Opera Workshop. All selections will be presented in English.

The GH Opera Workshop is directed by Ian and Joy Dorsch, choreographed by Lori Oestreich, and accompanied by Kira Miller.
