About the Class
Learn the basics of deckhanding on charter boats during this one-day class! Intro to Deckhanding covers job expectations and supplies, common knots used in the fishing industry, touch on common gear and tackle used on chartered fishing vessels, tips for working with clients, filleting techniques, and gear maintenance to get you prepared for a job as a deckhand.
At the end of this class, you will receive a certificate of completion that you may submit for prospective opportunities and can be added to a list that will be shared amongst local captains and guides looking to hire deckhands
Participants must be at least 15 years old
