Japanese Students Visit GHC

Grays Harbor College’s Nursing Department hosts 33 Japanese students on a study tour this week.
Traveling from Osaka College of Health and Welfare, the guest nursing students will spend Wednesday in lecture and cultural exchange with their GHC counterparts, coordinated by Carol O’Neal, associate dean of nursing at the College, and faculty. On Thursday, students will work together in the simulation lab, and on Friday, they will tour Provident St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia.
Like the students they will meet at GHC, the Japanese students are working to obtain their RN credential. A similar group visited the College last year, launching this educational exchange program.
