Website Notice - February 2019
Grays Harbor College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), a regional accreditor recognized by the United States Department of Education.
This is significant for two reasons. First, only accredited colleges can distribute federal and state financial aid to students. Second, accreditation is necessary in order for college credits to transfer from one institution of higher education to another.
On April 17-19, 2019, a team of evaluators will be at GHC to determine how the College is doing in terms of upholding established quality standards. During the visit, open forums will be scheduled for students, faculty, and staff. Forum dates and times will be widely advertised before the visit.
Individuals wishing to comment about GHC are invited to write to the NWCCU at 8060 165th Ave. Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052 no later than March 17, 2019. The most recent action taken by the NWCCU relating to GHC was in July 2018. Learn more about accreditation at ghc.edu/accreditation.
