Community Education Courses

Community Education classes address subjects related to leisure, lifestyle and special interest. Courses range from single day seminars to 2-6 week classes. Courses are non-credit and are taught by community professionals experienced in their chosen field. 

Come join us as we explore the arts, history, languages, dance and many other topics! It’s a great way to meet new people and energize your mind. Best of all, there are no tests – only the pleasure of learning and exploring!

Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Travel with us! Explore the arts, history, culture and natural wonders of our own backyard on our Grays Harbor and Pacific 
County day trips or plan on traveling with us to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival in August.

Over 200 online courses are available in Community Education, workplace skills, and business skills related topics. These 6-week courses are non-credit, begin monthly and certificates of completion are available.

Business Resources and Job Skills Training

GHC Business and Workforce Development
The Grays Harbor College Business and Workforce Development Department offers small business, entrepreneurship, and workplace skills enhancement courses and support through online and face-to-face courses, certificate and degree programs, resource centers, access to certified business advisors and customized training options.

Other Information

Course Proposals: Come teach with us! If you are interested in teaching a community interest workshop or course, please complete the Course Proposal Form and submit it to the Community Education Department at chelcie.bailey@ghc.edu or call 360.538.4088.

Registration Information: Registration can be completed online with a credit card through the quarterly schedule link. We recommend the online registration option, however, registrations are also accepted at the Riverview Education Center and Columbia Education Center.  A printable registration form is available online.

Tuition Information: Fees vary in accordance to class length and other factors. Many courses are available to those ages 50 and older at a significantly reduced rate. Tuition fees are due and payable the time of registration.

Cancellation Information: Classes may be cancelled prior to the start date if enrollment is too low. Please help prevent cancellations by enrolling early.  In the event of a cancellation, you will receive a full refund of your tuition.
