Tree Planting Volunteers

On February 4th, 2017, volunteers from the GHC Fish Lab joined forces with the Chehalis Basin Fisheries Task Force and Grays Harbor Stream Team for a large scale tree planting.  The purpose of this planting was to complete the final stages of major restoration projects from the past year.  These projects, lead by CBFTF, opened up miles upon miles of salmon habitat by creating fish friendly passage at Johns River, Big Creek, and Mox Chehalis.  The next step is to restore the terrestrial habitat at the construction sites, and the Fish Lab had the opportunity to be a part of that!
