GHC Employee Art Exhibition
July 13th – September 18th, 2026
The GHC Employee Summer Art Exhibition is an opportunity for the folks working at GHC to showcase their various talents beyond their day jobs – please submit artworks to the library by 5pm on July 2nd.
Closing Reception held on September 18th at 9am – come celebrate your colleague’s work over coffee and pastries.
“The Long Way Through” by Emma H. Baldwin
September 24th – October 23rd, 2026
‘The Long Way Through’ is a series of detailed watercolor paintings rooted in Emma H. Baldwin’s first-hand experiences in alpine landscapes. Based on long days spent hiking, climbing, and moving through remote terrain, the exhibition explores how memory and physical effort shape the way wild places are perceived.
Through paintings of mountains, frozen alpine lakes, broken glaciers, and meadows, Baldwin reflects on the beauty, difficulty, and inherent risk of spending time in the backcountry. The work invites viewers to feel the pull of the alpine: the exhaustion, awe, danger, and gratitude that come with reaching these places at all.
An Opening Reception will be held on September 24th at 5pm – light refreshments are provided.
Fall Gala
November 6th – December 11th, 2026
This annual exhibition features the work of local artists – a wide range of medium, theme, and approaches. This is a juried exhibition to ensure quality presentation. The call for entry is live until September 13th at 11:59pm.
An Opening Reception will be held on November 6th at 6pm – light refreshments are provided.

“Stability Shift” by John Howard and Aaron Wilder
February 16th – March 18th, 2027
Every process leaves its mark. “Stability Shift” brings together the work of John Howard and Aaron Wilder, two artists who use isolation, repetition, and transformation to reconsider how meaning is constructed. Howard’s illuminated glass and steel sculptures reduce natural forms to their most basic geometry, where the contingencies of hand fabrication distill visible traces of the making process. Wilder’s photographs, Instax installations, and moving images isolate fragments of the built environment, reorganizing them through acts of cropping, rendering, repetition, and reassembly. Both artists treat the unit—the basic shape, the single frame—as the element from which meaning is assembled. Their work invites viewers to move between the whole and its parts, where seemingly stable forms and meanings shift through changes in material, scale, and attention.

Annual High School Art Show
April 12th – May 6th, 2027
This annual exhibition features the artworks of local high school students, as presented by their teachers. Students put forth a variety of works, including pencil drawings, paintings, clay sculptures, and mixed media. This show is judged by local artists and students are awarded.
An Award Ceremony and Reception will be held on April 22nd at 4pm – light refreshments are provided.
GHC Student Art Exhibition
May 17th – June 18th, 2027
This annual exhibition presents the artworks from our students at Grays Harbor College under the instruction of Art Faculty Nathan Barnes.
An Opening Reception will be held on May 20th at 4pm – light refreshments are provided.
