Grays Harbor College is pleased to announce the reinstatement of its Women’s Soccer program, with competition set to begin in Fall 2026. The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Executive Board approved the College’s reinstatement request during its winter meeting last week.
The return of Women’s Soccer underscores GHC’s commitment to expanding athletic opportunities, responding to strong student interest, and supporting equitable access to intercollegiate athletics.
“We are excited to bring Women’s Soccer back to Grays Harbor College,” said Director of Athletics, Jody Pope. “This program provides meaningful opportunities for our students, strengthens our athletic department, and reinforces our commitment to student engagement and success.”
The reinstated team will compete in the Northwest Athletic Conference and focus on academic achievement, leadership development, community engagement, and competitive excellence.
GHC has already begun foundational planning for the program, including staffing, recruiting, and operational preparations. The Chokers’ Women’s Soccer team will be led by head coach Jacob Borden, a longtime Grays Harbor resident, supported by two assistant coaches also deeply rooted in the local community.
