Summary Job Description

Work with instructor to perform shop and clerical duties as requested by instructor to support the diesel tech program objectives

Typical Duties

  • Organization and cleaning
  • Give ideas for updates or storage solutions
  • Filing and scanning
  • Shop equipment maintenance
  • Safety and hazard compliance
  • Keep yard tidy
  • Move, and prepare parts for storage
  • Prep for hands on demonstrations

Qualifications

  • Experience having a job and performing it well
  • Organization skills
  • Self-starter, able to understand instruction and work independently
  • Prefer Diesel tech student but could take an industrial tech student
  • Finish at least 1 quarter in diesel or Industrial tech
  • Able to quickly learn new skills including office management and equipment maintenance
  • Able to lift 35 pounds

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 credits or more
  • Must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FA SAP)
  • Must have their eligibility determined for federal/state financial aid and be awarded in ctcLink
  • Have unmet need in their financial aid cost of attendance – $2500 maximum per quarter (generally for students attending full time)
