Summary Job Description

Office reception, includes greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff and general public in person, over the phone, via email and in a virtual environment. Intake, track, and file documents with a high level of accuracy; this includes scanning and indexing paperwork into a document imaging system. Use MS Office suite and Financial Aid Management systems to electronically maintain and update financial aid records. Provide assistance to staff in the Financial Aid Office as needed.

Typical Duties

  • Help with Financial Aid Application
  • Aid students with the completion of required paperwork requested by the Financial Aid Office
  • Assist with document processing
  • General communications – Phone – Email – In-person
  • Electronic filing and scanning of financial aid paperwork
  • Make copies of student paperwork as needed

Employee Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must exercise maturity in dealing with peers and confidential information
  • Able to work independently and follow directions
  • Reliable
  • Attention to detail

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 credits or more
  • Must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FA SAP)
  • Must have their eligibility determined for federal/state financial aid and be awarded in ctcLink
  • Have unmet need in their financial aid cost of attendance – $2500 maximum per quarter (generally for students attending full time)
