Maintenance Aid

Summary Job Description

Position will perform duties related to maintenance, grounds, and motorpool.

Typical Duties

  • weeding of flower beds
  • mowing/weed eating lawns
  • brush and debris removal
  • power washing buildings/sidewalks
  • perform safety checks on and cleaning of motorpool vans
  • safety checks on fire extinguishers, AEDs, eyewash stations and first aid kits
  • repainting of parking lot lines and curbs
  • Drive campus vehicles vehicles on-campus Only to complete tasks

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid WA. State driver’s license
  • able to complete the Van Safety course
  • be punctual and presentable
  • general knowledge of hand tools and small power tools
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • must be eligible for Financial Aid
  • must be available during the hours of 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 credits or more
  • Must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FA SAP)
  • Must have their eligibility determined for federal/state financial aid and be awarded in ctcLink
  • Have unmet need in their financial aid cost of attendance – $2500 maximum per quarter (generally for students attending full time)
