Summary Job Description

Primarily this position will be to assist the Bishop Center manager in building a spreadsheet tracking and

categorizing costumes, props, and other inventory at the Bishop Center and assisting with clerical tasks related to Bishop Center productions.  Additional projects based on skillset and employee goals may be assigned such as accessible social media content creation, box office assistance, and other logistical tasks related to events.

An interest or desire to learn skills in any one or more of the following areas would be beneficial for this position, but is not a requirement:

  • Data Entry/Excel
  • Customer Service
  • Performing Arts
  • Logistics/Process Management
  • Event Planning/Management
  • Graphic Design/Content Creation

Typical Duties

  • Use Excel, Word, and other college programs to create spreadsheets, documents and files Data entry
  • Provide clerical and logistical support to the Bishop Center manager and productions
  • Assist in tracking Bishop Center inventory, comp/donated tickets, and other related projects
  • Occasional phone calls to donors or patrons
  • Duties specific to employee’s goals, which could include:
    • Box office assistance
    • Design social media graphics and promotional materials o Assist with performance and events planning and logistics

Employee Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Excel
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Reliable
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • An interest or desire to learn skills in any of the areas mentioned in the job description
  • Interest in assisting at Bishop Center events
  • Experience using Canva

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 credits or more
  • Must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FA SAP)
  • Must have their eligibility determined for federal/state financial aid and be awarded in ctcLink
  • Have unmet need in their financial aid cost of attendance – $2500 maximum per quarter (generally for students attending full time)
