Retail Assistant

Summary Job Description

Work in GHC’s bookstore and help students on their academic path! The Retail Assistant will help keep the bookstore shelves stocked, process purchases, and help students locate the resources they need for their studies.

Typical Duties

  • Operate cash register and credit card machines
  • Stock merchandise on bookstore shelving and displays
  • Receive merchandise shipments
  • Assist students in finding textbooks and supplies
  • Set up text book area, keep organized and stocked

Qualifications

  • Dependable and honest
  • Able to arrive on-time
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with retail sales a plus

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 Credits or More
  • Must be Meeting Standard Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Federal/State Financial Aid processed and awarded in ctcLink
  • Have room in unmet Federal/Cost of Attendance Need money – $2500 Maximum per quarter
