Summary Job Description
Acts as a professional representative of the College primarily focusing on students and sharing institutional knowledge with the community and students. Help facilitate campus tours, staff events, serve as role models, and share the student experience to support student goals, navigation and the students’ first-year experience.
Typical Duties
- Campus Tours & Leadership: Leading in-person and virtual tours for students and families and answering inquiries about the college. Be stationed inside the entrance of the student union building (tulalW) for student support and general campus navigation.
- Event Support: Assisting with open houses, orientations, annual commencement, and community events.
- Mascot & Spirit Representation: Represent the institution as the campus mascot (Charlie Choker) at key events, supporting school spirit & student engagement.
- Communication: Representing the institution professionally via email, phone, and social media, creating content, or giving presentations.
- Mentorship/Leadership: Acting as a peer mentor and role model for new and existing students.
- Administrative Tasks: Assisting Student life and campus administrative staff with office duties and participating in training sessions.
- Inventory & Storage Management: Organize, maintain, and track Student Life inventory and storage spaces to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and accurate supply levels.
- Food Pantry Support: Provide coverage and basic support for the Student Life Food Pantry, including assisting students with essential needs, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping keep Student Life snack cabinets stocked and organized.
