Summary Job Description
Supports the Office of Student Life by assisting with campus events, supporting student organizations, and handling administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include coordinating activities (e.g., orientation, trips), assisting students in the student life offices, and providing administrative support to students across campus.
Typical Duties
- Event Planning & Support: Organize and execute student activities, educational events, and social events, including setup/takedown, marketing, and on-site support.
- Student Organization Assistance: Provide support for student clubs, including but not limited to helping with event paperwork, travel documents, and tracking club budgets.
- Inventory & Storage Management: Organize, maintain, and track Student Life inventory and storage spaces to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and accurate supply levels.
- Administrative Support: Manage office tasks and duties, handle phone/email inquiries, and maintain database/electronic records.
- Student ID Support: Assist new and returning students by creating and maintaining their student identification cards.
- Food Pantry Support: Provide coverage and basic support for the Student Life Food Pantry, including assisting students with essential needs, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping keep Student Life snack cabinets stocked and organized.
- Communication: Promote Student Life activities through all channels on campus, such as social media, digital displays, and print materials.
- Logistics & Deliveries: Coordinate the pickup and delivery of Student Life orders, including assisting with weekly food deliveries and ensuring timely distribution of supplies.
- On-Site Support: Assist at large-scale events like Mayhem, Bishop Center and major events-IE commencement and student awards ceremonies etc.
- Facility Management: Monitor Student life spaces for cleanliness, organization and student needs or requests.
