Theatre Production Assistant

Summary Job Description

This position will perform clerical tasks, creative duties, and other assigned projects to support campus theatre productions including the annual Winter Musical and Spring Drama.

Typical Duties

  • Greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff, and general public
  • Making photocopies
  • Maintaining notes and files
  • Posting on social media sites
  • Managing stage operations
  • Organizing performance group members
  • Researching props and costumes
  • Creating props and costumes
  • Building rehearsal schedules
  • Supporting staff of Theatre Productions
  • Organizing, cleaning, and tidying work areas
  • Assisting with technical lighting installation/design/programming/strike

Employee Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs/Sheets – Self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must exercise maturity in dealing with peers and confidential information
  • Able to work independently and follow directions – Reliability

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 credits or more
  • Must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FA SAP)
  • Must have their eligibility determined for federal/state financial aid and be awarded in ctcLink
  • Have unmet need in their financial aid cost of attendance – $2500 maximum per quarter (generally for students attending full time)
