Enrollment Procedures for New Students
If you have never taken credited classes at Grays Harbor College before, you are considered a new student, even if you have been a student at a previous college.

Apply for Financial Aid
(You do not need to apply for financial aid if you will not be requesting financial assistance)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online. If you plan on applying for financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA. If you need assistance with your FAFSA, please visit the Welcome Center or contact financial aid directly at 360-538-4081.

Take College Placement Test (CPT)
Taking the College Placement Test (CPT) is a requirement for all new college students. You don’t need an appointment to take the CPT. We offer placement testing on a drop-in basis through the Student Support Center (100 building). Testing hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-2:00pm. Please bring photo ID with you.

Entry Advising & Registration
You'll be advised and registered for classes through our Entry Advising Process. For more information and to schedule your appointment, please visit the Student Support Center in the 100 Building on GHC's Main Campus or call us at 360-538-4099.

Attend New Student Orientation
Attending New Student Orientation (NSO) is a required activity for new students. At NSO, you will learn all about GHC before classes begin! Visit the New Student Orientation page for additional information and to register.
