Class scheduling occurs on an annual basis and is intended to develop and maintain a two-year cyclic schedule that is designed to allow student completion of all program requirements within a two year time frame. Academic deans work with division chairs, advisors and instructional staff to update and maintain the schedule so that it is available to students for academic planning purposes. Meeting times and modality should be established based on student need, course requirements, and course availability. Programs and divisions should collaborate to minimize course conflicts and maximize opportunity. Annual schedule updates are submitted by the appropriate instructional dean to the Vice President for Learning and Student Success for final review.
Any change from the established class schedule in the time or place a class meets must be approved by the appropriate dean for instruction after consultation with the division chair.
