The Vice President for Learning and Student Success is responsible for the instructional program and processes of Grays Harbor College (GHC), making such administrative procedures as deemed necessary.
The vice president shall activate and chair an Academic Council, which is responsible for overseeing the instructional environment and approving curricular development and revisions at GHC.
The Academic Council at GHC is essential in managing the development, review, and modification of the College’s academic policies, programs, and courses. This committee ensures that the curriculum not only aligns with GHC’s strategic priorities and accreditation standards but also actively integrates principles of inclusivity, diversity, equity, accessibility, and sustainability. It is responsible for evaluating and approving new proposals, revising existing content, and ensuring curriculum changes reflect the highest academic excellence standards. By collaborating with various academic departments and stakeholders, the committee ensures the curriculum is both relevant and adaptive, meeting the evolving needs of the educational landscape.
