His dissertation, "Perspectives of Black Male Administrators on Gaining Administrative Roles at Community and Technical Colleges", explores the systemic barriers and facilitators impacting Black male administrators’ access to and advancement within leadership roles in U.S. community and technical colleges. Guided by Critical Race Theory in Education (CRT-E), his study draws on in-depth interviews with eight current and former administrators, revealing themes such as inequitable hiring practices, limited leadership pipelines, cultural and interpersonal challenges, and overperformance pressures. The findings also highlight strategies for institutions to create equitable hiring pathways, provide robust leadership preparation, and foster inclusive campus cultures.
