Course Description:
Students will learn basic computer skills including turning on computer and monitor, basic mouse practice, Typing Tutor, MSWord, Excel, Windows, basic control panel, drives, and directories, creating new files, opening existing files and documents, finding and saving files, cutting, copying, and pasting to and from clipboard, moving within and between documents, manipulating text using bold, italics, underline, fonts, and font sizes, preformatting and reformatting documents, creating personal, business and employment letters, resumes, announcments, brochures, beginning and creating simple spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel, learning basic formulas, and creating shortcuts from basic spreadsheets. This class is designed for people who have little or no experience with computers to help them gain confidence and skills in the operation of computers for personal use.
