Medical Assistant Seminar

This course brings together students to prepare for externship and to discuss issues in the workplace. There is an emphasis on communication,professionalism, and the importance of continuing education. Employment opportunities, job search skills, resume writing, and interview techniques will be addressed. Discussion of state certification guidelines with a focus on the AAMA certification exam. 1 theory hour. Vocational program course. May be used as a general elective in the AA degree.
