Columbia Education Center Hours

For the next few weeks, Grays Harbor College’s Columbia Education Center at Ilwaco will be open on Mondays only, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Center will be closed Tuesdays through Fridays until the beginning of Fall Quarter in September.

However, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the Summer, messages left on the Center’s direct phone line - 360-538-2539 - will be rerouted and returned promptly from GHC’s Riverview Education Center in Raymond. All GHC sites are closed on Fridays during the Summer.

Those interested on earning GEDs or high school diplomas should contact Transitions on the main GHC campus in Aberdeen at any time, 360-538-4167.

“We are continuing to evaluate how the College can best meet the needs of the community served by our Columbia Education Center,” explains GHC President Jim Minkler. “At this time, we also need to be fiscally responsible in offering programs that meet minimum enrollment qualifications and cover basic costs.

“Our Columbia Education Center will have new hours in the Fall, based on courses being offered,” Minkler added.  “We will post class offerings and schedules for Fall by early September.”

In the meantime, Minkler reminds residents they can contact the Center on Mondays in person, and by calling the direct line at 360-538-2539 Mondays through Thursdays.
