We would love to see you Saturday 15 October 2:00-6:00 pm at the Polson Museum in Hoquiam WA for the artist reception of

Farther Into the Woods - a twenty-five year retrospective exhibition of Erik Sandgren's paintings and prints inspired by the landscapes of the logging, fishing and milling of Grays Harbor.

1992: Clear Cut (ac on paper 11x15) 2000 - Millennial Fish (ac on panel 25x30) 2003 - Kismet (ac on canvas 24x36) 2015 - Gillnetting - A Golden Morning on the River in Fog (ac on panel 18x24)

As you may see from the attachments the artwork ranges from the literal to the mythic. Three dozen pieces are mounted in the gallery and another 300 are digitally displayed. Come help us celebrate this body of work dedicated to our little place in the universe and the perfect venue for it - the Polson Museum. Open house format - a brief gallery talk at two-thirty will be followed by live Timberbound Music at 3:00 pm-ish - featuring folk songs from the woods of the Pacific Northwest. After that who knows? its up to you!...... and likely more Timberbound music by Joe Seamons, Gavin Duffy and Kate Sandgren.

Help make it the art event of the year. Turn the trickle to a throng. Celebrate the Harbor. Support the Polson.
