Event Support and Information

Accessibility Services (AS) provides event support to ensure equity in access and promote an accessible community where all students have equal opportunity to participate in college programs and activities. If you need accommodations to attend our New Student Orientation, please let us know when completing the New Student Orientation form. If you need accommodations to attend any other event held on our campuses, please contact us!

AS also provides or supports events to celebrate Disability Awareness and Pride. Disability Awareness and Pride days or months are held throughout the year. Many colleges host events in October to commemorate the National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This past year, GHC hosted an event in April celebrating intersecting disabled, Black and Indigenous, queer, and non-binary identities as a collaboration between Accessibility Services, Student Life, Student Government, and the Diversity and Equity Center. GHC also hosted three smaller events in the month of October for Disability Employment Awareness Month.

We have implemented a Mindfulness Workshop that support students, faculty, and staff on taking some time each week to focus on mental health and are in the process of creating an Accessibility Club. Please check out our events tab for more information about what is happening on campus.

GHC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities. The following person has been designated to handle inquiries regarding the non-discrimination policies:
