AccessAbility Services (AAS) provides event support to ensure equity in access and promote an accessible community where all students have equal opportunity to participate in college programs and activities. AAS also provides or supports events to celebrate Disability Awareness and Pride. Disability Awareness and Pride days or months are held throughout the year. Many colleges host events in October to commemorate the National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This year, GHC hosted an event in April celebrating intersecting disabled, Black and Indigenous, queer, and non-binary identities as a collaboration between AccessAbility Services, Student Life, Student Government, and the Diversity and Equity Center.
