The Grays Harbor College Choker men's golf team heads for the NWAC Conference Championship this weekend, after qualifying twice in the 2018-19 season. The team includes, from left, Ryan Feyrer, Tim Nail, Dylan Christoffer (team captain), Cooper Benfield and Travis Bossio. They are coached by GHC alum and professional golfer Ann Swanson.

The team won at Bandon Dunes last week in the SWOCC Invitational, with Feyrer tying for individual honors but lost on the second playoff hole. He also won the NWAC League match in the fall and Travis Bossio won the NWAC League match two weeks ago in Spokane.

To recap other Choker golf accomplishments for the season, Bossio also won individual honors at the Highline College invitational at Suncadia fall season. GHC team won that event, which was the first team win for GHC golfers in almost 50 years. Dylan Christoffer won individual honors in the University of Puget Sound Invitational in March, with the team finishing just one shot out of first.

Also, Bossio and Feyrer were recently named first team All-Conference. According to Coach Swanson, "I have tried to model our program after D1 programs. We have worked hard to build a championship culture. Our hard work is starting to pay off."

She adds, "We are looking forward to the NWAC Conference Championship this weekend."
