GHC Foundation - Year-End Deadlines
The Grays Harbor College Foundation accepts many types of assets, including cash, stocks and more. Once you make a contribution to the GHC Foundation, you’ll receive a tax receipt from our office. To be eligible for a yearly tax deduction, you may need to initiate your donation early. While some assets take longer to accept and process than others, these dates are meant to be used as guidelines. We encourage you to contact your tax advisor to see if your year-end gift qualifies as a charitable deduction.

Credit card gifts must transmitted online before 11:59 p.m. in your time zone on December 31.
Phoned-In Credit Card Gifts
Phoned-in credit card gifts must be received by 12:00 p.m. (PST), on the last business day in December. To make a gift by phone, call (360) 538-4024. After 12:00 p.m. on the last business day in December, please use the online giving form here.
Mailed Check or Credit Card Gifts
If you prefer, you can send a check or make a credit card gift by mail. If sending a check, it must be postmarked by December 31. If sending a credit card gift by mail, it must be postmarked by December 15, to help ensure processing before year-end. Simply send your credit card number, expiration date, three digit number on back of card, address associated with your credit card, daytime telephone number, and instructions regarding your gift designation to the GHC Foundation, 1620 Edward P. Smith, Dr., Aberdeen, WA 98520. The GHC Foundation accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Wire Transfers and ACH Gifts
Wire transfers and ACH gifts must be received into the GHC Foundation’s account(s) on December 31 by 5:00 p.m. (PST). Please contact our office regarding these gifts.
Mutual Fund Gifts
Mutual fund transfers must be received at the GHC Foundation before 5:00 p.m. on the 10th business day in December. We cannot guarantee mutual fund transactions received after the 10th business day in December will be processed as a year-end gift for tax purposes due to additional mutual fund and banking institution requirements.
Stock or Bond Gifts
Transmit stock or bond gifts electronically via your financial institution to the GHC Foundation before 4:00 p.m. PST on December 31. Stock or bond gifts can also be delivered via U.S. Mail or other carrier service and postmarked by December 31, or hand delivered to the GHC Foundation office by the last business day in December, before 5:00 p.m.
