Office Assistant

Job Description

This position will perform clerical duties and assigned projects to support the Enrollment/Student Services department's objectives.

Typical Duties

  • Office reception, includes greeting & assisting students, faculty, staff, and the general public
  • Answer the telephone and take messages
  • Make copies, make files, fax, scan using Quillix, file documents, prepare mailings
  • Use of Word, Excel, and other college programs to create/update documents and files
  • Handle the mail
  • Utilize ctcLink and/or Student (Verification) Lookup tool
  • Assist potential students with applying to GHC, and completing their FAFSA application.

Employee Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Must exercise maturity in dealing with peers and confidential information
  • Able to work independently and follow directions
  • Reliable and timely

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrolled in 6 Credits or More
  • Must be Meeting Standard Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Federal/State Financial Aid processed and awarded in ctcLink
  • Have room in unmet Federal/Cost of Attendance Need money - $2500 Maximum per quarter
